Pre-dubstep

Post by dopaminecloud » Sat Sep 20, 2008 11:49 am

I got into dubstep last year, found lots of amazing tunes, discovered different dubstep sounds, but I've never heard any dubstep ancestors. Can you direct me to some uk garage and other sounds that dubstep grew from I should know?

a lot of this stuff is actually dubstep, just when dubstep didnt have CD compilations and sections in shops

I am uploading a documentary about the FWD sound for you called The New Step which describes two directions in which UKG went after its big backlash at the turn of the millenium

And he seems to be forgotten far too often.

Oh well hopefully his next time playing out will remind some people of what an absolute don this man is
