I agree that convert is not the best word for it. Its more like introduce or opening ones mind to dubstep.
When people ask me what dubstep is, i say, "its the classical music of our time".
There are certain types of people who would like dubstep.....
People who like reggae, ol skool jungle, jazz, "liquid" type D&B, anything melodic with soul basicly.
In January of this year, my m8 "Torrential" gave me the Rinse FM_-_Kode9_b2b_D1 mix from november of last year, thus introducing me to dubstep. I'll be honest, at first, i didnt get it. At that time, i was producing some ragga-jungle type ish, so it was kind of hard to switch the mental bpm's to compansate for the new bpm of 140-155.
I had kept the mix in my rotation of mixes on winamp and one day, it started playin while i was puffin some green. I just started groovin to it, feelin it and then Kode 9's: 9 Samurai came on....
My mouth hit the floor as i felt the energy of this music screaming threw my house. It was shaking the very foundation of this place and it left me in

state. I felt my chi "inner strength" flowing with the basslines and i knew at that very moment, I had been bitten and infected with this virus called Dubstep.
I guess you just have to give someone a mix and tell them to keep it in their playlist. Who knows, they might contract the virus the same way i did.
I would also like to add that since i have been listening to dubstep, it has forever changed my life. When i used to be at work, I would listen to jungle all day and I was always workin very quickly but not to effeciently. My mind was stuck in the bpm range of 170-190+. Since i've been listening to dubstep in place of jungle at work, Ive gotten a promtion and have found that i can work much more efficently with my new mind frame of 140-155 bpms.
Massive respect to all those worldwide who have contracted and continue to manfacture the virus known as: DUBSTEP.
