At least Flowdan has his head screwed on doing something original with Killa P and The Bug.
I think the nomination of Chipmunk and Skepta for the MOBO's are just ways to tap into the younger generation. Rolex sweep is waste anyway.
Flowdan is one of the most boring mcs around, and has no change up in his flow. All of his tunes with the Bug sound the same.
Chipmunk is one of the best young mcs about, and his last mixtape was extremely good. Skepta is also decent, although there are a lot more innovative and interesting mcs about such as Trim and Durrty Goodz.

THIS.
Griminal > Chipmunk
P Money > Chipmunk
Double S > Chipmunk
IMHO.

I agree, but Chipmunk seems to have had the exposure, and has had the most solid mixtape yet (although not heard griminal's or p-money's yet)

Trim has always been a favourite. Shame he isn't as popular as he was when he was back in Roll Deep. He did a few bits with Blackdown IIRC so bonus points there.
Never really listened to Durrty Goodz. I listen to a bit of Ghetto though here and there. But to be honest, ever since Burial came about I haven't really been into grime that much any more. Starting to flick through a lot of alternate music now.
Just doesn't appeal to me - and the fact people associate it with gun/knife crime is another negative.

Oh and I dislike Tim Westwood for presenting Pimp My Ride UK so that's another reason I hate grime.

Can't stand the man and the majority of grime videos on Youtube are filmed on his show.

Am I really? Last time I checked grime music was boring and formulaeic
It's funny because it's true.
Give me the Newham Gen's album (...eventually) and i'm out.

good points there
have to admit i don't particularly like a lot of grime. the machismo/hype/aggresiveness just seems pretty pathetic to me, but i'm not stupid enough to think that's all there is to it

Maybe I was over exposed to grime when I was growing up, I mean, Rinse was ALWAYS ON considering we used to run the internet stream from our house back in the early days before we shifted it to drange's yard.

I think that Grime, just like Dubstep and all other music in the world, will be killed by Ketamine.

i can't say i really no shit compared to you guys about grime, but i've been really liking the stuff no hats no hoods put out (even if some of it is a bit cliche).
i like iron soul's stuff too.
im just really underexposed to it, so when i hear it, it probably sounds a lot fresher to me then the rest of you who've been listening to it for the past almost decade or so....
can't say i like to many of the vocalists, but Trim always has my attention.
i like ghetto a while back, but dunno if i've felt much of the stuff he's done more recently.
