Ode to "Bits"

Post by alexchuck » Wed Oct 01, 2008 11:32 pm

Ah, Chase & Status - "Bits". Dubstep should close business right after this track will see a press. And that moment is soon to come, my friends into the dubstep's ways.

Best set I can think of?

1. Chase & Status - Bits
2. Chase & Status - Bits (Youngsta overloop dubplate) - rewound 2 times
3. Chase & Status - Bits (N-TYPE overloop dubplate) - rewound 4 times (one time by super-bomba-wheelin' it)
4. SP:MC - Trust Nobody (just a bridge)
5. Chase & Status - Bits (Hatcha overloop dubplate) - rewound 3 times
6. Chase & Status - Bits (mash-up with Chase & Status - Saxon)
7. Chase & Status - Bits (Plastician overloop dubplate) - rewound 2 times

That's about it - what a sick party that would be. With MC's like Crazy D and SP:MC.

Chase & Status - Bits is the best thing since sliced bread. Since it has appeared, Tes la Rok and Rusko refused to release any more songs. You think the U.S. economy can be saved by a bailout plan worth-of 700billion dollars? Guess again, the only thing that can save it is this tune seeing wax. Juno and Redeye would become the KINGS of WallStreet.

Many of us hated trigonometry throughout school, yet the sine waves in this one make us reconsider this position. The snare is totally merciless, it's like bitchslappin' the competition. The female voice sample gets me horny every time I hear it, even though it lasts for 1.24 second (I timed that). I'd beat it but I need the hands to control the airflow whilst skanking. The bassline would put even Flea to shame, it's fat like a bucket of lard. I'm sure the correct spelling for this track is B to the R to the K to the K to the O to the U to the T.

Do I have issues? It's been so many months since this tune appeared but DJ's are still spinnin' it. And they do a helluva job!!! Keep doing it so we can preserve the heritage of Bits for our children.

PS: Sorry for the spam, this more than an "appreciation" thread. It's a glorification thread!

A comical and dedicated thread... but with other producers pushing every bit of the scene on different angles.."bits" will only be page in the book.

i don't know where is it comin' from: dubtrade, ram records, EMI or the national science foundation phono archives. however, i hope it will be on the forthcoming album which will definitely rock the boat of dubstep.
