are you working around 140 bpm?
speed settings are now LPB(lines per beat) it makes things easier.

here's a pretty basic(and lame) loop with a lot of renoise effects as an example- i'm not in any way saying this is common practice, or the way you should do things at all, but i think it would be cool for you to look at since you're new to renoise. it's all samples, because i'm not sure what vsts you use etc.

right with the new 2.0 the lpb lines do keep things simple. just remeber to keep it to 4/8/16/etc... to avoid any conflicts.
i am however having a problem with the 2.0 and my vst synths. if i stop the song in mid synth activation, the vst synth just carries on without stopping. the only way to stop it is go into the synth and cut all the oscillators. a real pain. before the 2.0 i didnt have this problem... any one else experiencing the same?

not really. my best advice is to let taktic know on the renoise 2.0 beta bugs forum. i'm sure he'll have some advice or, if it is indeed a bug, get right to fixing it.cookedright wrote:right with the new 2.0 the lpb lines do keep things simple. just remeber to keep it to 4/8/16/etc... to avoid any conflicts.

Yeah, as Misk pointed out, get on the renoise forum (www.renoise.com/board) and post in the 2.0 bugs forum.

renoise
to understand renoise to the fullest, i would suggest to go back to the oldschool trackers such as goat tracker, and learn about hexadecimals. then renoise will make sense to you.
cheers
