I bought my macbook about 2 weeks ago
13 inch
4gb ram
250gb sata hard drive
Dual core 2.4ghz processor etc
Which are pretty good specks, an i managed to get mine for about £850.
I could have got a normal laptop which had even better specs for cheaper but its just the fact i like the apple set up so much more, like things dont go slow an freeze, everythings made so much simpler, the layouts generally alot nicer to use etc
That more what im paying for really, not the specs

You are obviously an idiot who has never used Windows properly or tried an alternate open source environment.Hysteria wrote:I bought my macbook about 2 weeks ago

Ashley man. Seriously, fix up bro. It's funny-ish at first, but you've gone and turned a good-humoured thread (mainly for people into Macs, I guess) into another one with ninjas slagging each other off. There's no need.
We know you're not a fan. How about you just don't post in threads like this?
Getting really lame now man.

lol. Who the fuck do you think you are? Can people not converse about things that interest them without having to explain themselves to you?
Honestly. You're a loser with more time on his hands than Dubluke. Do one.

i have owned a G5 tower for over 5 years....pretty much since they came out...and i have NEVER had to get service on it...
i am on an iBook now...same story...
considering getting a new macbook pro...
i also have an HP laptop....all the wonderful specs and i spend over $2000 for it.
the screen is fucked...the battery burnt out as did the power supply while i was rendering a 5 second 3d animation....i had to reinstall windows twice...and now the hard drive is fucked...
so with all the money im gonna spend for repairs i might as well have bought a macbook pro and it woulda come out to the same deal.
due to certain programs i had to use both systems but i honestly hope to never HAVE to use a PC ever again....not my cuppateeeeee

if you leave your HP laptop plugged in to the socket even when the battery is full then thats how you burn out the battery.
If you are going to leave a computer plugged in then get a desktop.
We bought a dell pc back in 2001, still works fine. We made alot of hardware upgrades to it over the years, even upgraded the operating system.
I got my first laptop, Toshiba - wonderful machine, nothing went wrong until I spilt coke over it. Got my new laptop, ASUS - such a beauty. I paid £350 for 1.7ghz dual core, 2gb ram and 120gb hdd space and 128mb graphics. Better value than mac book.
I am just expressing my opinion. No need to hate and get personal.

Why do you insist on chatting bullshit masquerading it for fact?Ashley wrote:if you leave your HP laptop plugged in to the socket even when the battery is full then thats how you burn out the battery.
That's nonsense. By my experience with my Macbook, at least. If the battery's full and you've got it plugged in, the laptop runs off the power adaptor and does nothing to the battery.

That such a stupid thing to say, you shouldn't want a warranty because you know your computers probably gona fuck up..Ashley wrote:BTW there is a thing called a warranty.
Its like buying a house on the edge of a cliff just because you have home insurance..

It's not really, it's just an Ashley thing to say.Hysteria wrote:That such a stupid thing to say, you shouldn't want a warranty because you know your computers probably gona fuck up..Ashley wrote:BTW there is a thing called a warranty.
He's always gonna have the answer.
Really uncool character trait.

I only believe this is the case as my mum and my sister recieved laptops for christmas, (mum got an acer, sister got a dell) - they only use their laptops at home and now they can't got 15minutes without having to plug the power cable back in (power setting is to battery saving mode when without the cable).
Where my laptop, I can use it for upto 3 hours without having to connect the battery?
Both their batteries can't be faulty surely?

Not probably, its "if" it fucks up. If something happens inside, if something happens to be faulty and they do a recall.Hysteria wrote:That such a stupid thing to say, you shouldn't want a warranty because you know your computers probably gona fuck up..Ashley wrote:BTW there is a thing called a warranty.

Did you know Sony made all of Apple's batteries?

isnt it perfectly timed that all the shit goes wrong after the warranty expires...and having to send it to the company risking further damage and reformatting of the drive (yes that is what HP reps told me)
either way....is it seriously that big a deal who prefers what...
i prefer MAC my best friend prefers PC. neither is better than the other....
all products may have faulty parts...there is always a chance something goes wrong....in my experience everything has gone wrong with my PC...i dont like the interface...i dont like the fact that it runs all these programs that are hidden...it takes forever to boot up...constant freezing whether its internet or just software usage...bad tech support...etc...and i just like apple products better...
