Ginsters Pasties

Post by three2do1 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 12:16 am

I found a pebble in my pasty today. Despite my disgust I polished off a 2-pack from the tescos garage.

Anybody else had nasty experiences with convienience food?

Now I feel like shit.

but even then its just terrible. Heating them up makes them go soggy, eating them cold feels like you eating some sort of dog food pie. Horrible stuff...

i had a proper pasty on friday. was handsome

there is a fine art to making a pasty though. just because its cornish, it doesn't mean its good...ginsters clearly have no passion for the pasty.

for example, go to st. agnes bakery in cornwall...they serve the roughest, driest, most haggard, overly salty 'pasties' that i've ever tasted

if you want a proper pasty, try one of these:

Blewetts 01872 272069 Truro, Cornwall
Philps Bakery 01736 753302 Hayle, Cornwall
W.C Rowe 01209 715559 Redruth, Cornwall
Warrens 01209 713256 Redruth, Cornwall

you can get boxes of them posted out to you...whack them in the microwave and NEVER BUY GINSTERS AGAIN!

proper job

that's the beauty i suppose. if there weren't shit pasties, who'd appreciate the proper ones?

Coolio, Your number still the same?

Haha, I've had one on a comedown before and it was like licking a well worn flip flop. Rowe's all the way, except when the wrapper gets stuck to the underneath.

I'd be inclined to follow the cornish fella's advice on pasties.

Trouble is I live in manchester and we don't have any proper pasty shops around here. Although has anyone sampled alvino's curry patties in moss side? They are nigh on legendary
