I never really listened to Horsepower before, Diccon (ThinKing) bangs on about them and Pinch I think for that matter. I never caught them, guess I was just into DnB too much at the time and just catching onto Dubstep.
I was in Rooted and it's payday and I have a couple of hours to kill. And damn, ended up walking away with Horspower 'COmes to the Rescue' and 'In Fine Style' (as well as Merkle Man instrumental and Eskimo by Wiley -I thought Jammer produced MM though?- and Invade2 by Black Ops).
These albums rock!
Synbad!
Voodoo Spell!
Pimp Flavours!
Marseille Connection!
Absolutely screwing I have been without these tunes! But happy now.

all about on the run/ sholay, still drop one of these every time i get the rare opportunity to play out. On the run has one of the nextest beats ever released as danceable music, just by havin one really odd snare: genius. incredible mixes to be had when you get your head round it

Quoting Martin Clark column at
Pitchfork Media...
For years, dubsteppers struggled in vain to generate momentum for the scene. Truly great producers, like El-B and Zed Bias, came and went without receiving global recognition. The sound achieved self-sufficiency - not to be sniffed at - but hardly explosive expansion.
I don't know if Benny Ill is still producing Dubstep... But he is working in a NYC studio, by the notes released
here...
Horsepower was a great project and did great tunes...
Best,
Bruno Belluomini.

Totally agree with you...they showed what could be done with a lot of talent and a sampler!!!
