yea i figured glitch would get mentioned
another fun lil effect is dfx buffer override http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/

keep in mind that you can do the same thing as glitch as well with a chopped up breakbeat and some creative routing but with your choice of effects
also don't be afraid to toy around with the settings in glitch, granted as stated already it's been used to death and at this point can be easy to spot to most producers who have used it.

also something you might wanna look up is the shitmat tutorial video that was on the Computer Music February issue (CMU109) DVD
it's prolly on youtube or something (i snagged a dl of it on a torrent site)
definitely a good start on beat mangling

edit: oh a couple other apps/plugins you might enjoy to get those idmesque drums

Cheers Deadly will look at these links you put up.

Done to death? I'll have a go see what I can do. Remember the number of things that were announced done to death and were still involved in tunes that surprised you in the past (amen breaks, hoover samples, etc). No? Well OK, they surprised ME again and again  , but I am well known around town as a profoundly lovably lumpish lummox. Can all of you say that, no I think not, so there
LOL It's garage Jim but not as we know it

i use that glitch plug a bit when I dj... true though... it's kinda rinsed. But you can do some nice stuff with it if you tweek it a bit... and watch out for that randomization!
The new dope shit is Automation from Audio Damage. WAAAAAY sicker than glitch once you get it figured out.. That Sugar byte effictrix" looks pretty sick too. Haven't used it

here's a cool thin that I found out myself...

record audio off your sound card so that you can only hear the 50-60Hz hum/crackling.

Load it up in you program of choice (logic, acid pro ...etc) then apply 3 dblue glitches to the audio with differing settings and different frequency's (this is essential) Then render this and open the file. Cut it p and you can get some cool bleeps, and even better the best cowbell samples you could wish for.

Random bleeps can be used with dub delay for nice dub reggae FX in Dubstep. 8)
