Yeah, Pei's can have some serious medical issues. Mainly to do with their eyes and skin. My doggy's got very good genes though, and didn't need her eyes tacking (nor did any of the litter). The vet said she had lovely, big, clear eyes too.
As for skin.. hmm.. we'll have to see how that goes I guess. She's got a little lump under her skin on one part of her body near her neck though. I'm a bit worried and I'm going to call up the vets tomorrow.
And it's not a 'flabby dog' at all. It's nice and wrinkly and chubby looking right now, because it's a pup, but they tend to lose most of their wrinkles as they grow. Either way, they're strong as a motherfucker and will mess your shit up! Saying that.. I want her to keep as many of her wrinkles as poss!
