Landmassrecordings: Home of Landslide

Post by landslide » Sun Oct 26, 2008 5:30 pm

Digital release of 'Dreams & Visions' 27.10,08

After a vinyl release by the mighty Black Acre label comes the Digital package on my new label Landmassrecordings .

It features the full vinyl versions and two new mixes - Visions & Dreams and a VIP mix. Far from being Digi only bonus mixes both tracks are excellent versions that gained strong support including Scuba and Thinking and possibly should have made the vinyl if there was room.

Check clips here:

Full track Listing:

Dreams & Visions - Original
Dreams & Visions - Instrumental
Dreams & Visions - Compound One Remix
DIGI ONLY MIXES
Dreams & Visions - VIP
Visions & Dreams

Available at all DL stores - check individual stores for exclusives.

Other News:

After what feels like a epoch im finally completing a new landslide album. The dubstep sound is a big influence in the production - but it generally follows the Landslide script of Dark soul music with big bass lines. Ive got some great vocal collaborations including: Colonel Red, Spoonface, Excentral Tempest, Sabira Jade, Prod, in fact its nearly all vocal tracks ! Intended release early 2009.

Really pleased to hear an album is on it's way. 'Solitary' is seriously one of my favourite tunes ever!

Big Up!

Yes - well spotted rototo. Alias indeed it is not original composition but 'based' on piano phase..... Being a big steve riech fan I had vowed never to use any of his music - it seems all to easy to get any of his work and loop it with a beat - in fact by the time i started making music towards the late nineties his music had already been raped by the dance and electronica scenes. I went to his 70th birthday gig at the Barbican a while back in which he performed in Music for 18 musicians... probably one of the most amazing performances i have ever seen - added to by the fact that he played wrong notes on purpose! After that i was well riech'd up and decided i could break my vowel.... also i had just apple looped my sample library... say no more....

It's not what you use, it's how you use it IMO. Daft Punk, Tricky, Blu Mar Ten, Fanu, Burial, Klute - lots of people have built careers out of sampling, yet what they do still sounds like them. "Dreams and Visions" is a lovely tune, and very Landslide.
