expensive paint wont help you .
get some experience with the cheapest paint possible , once stuff is lookin well proportioned and crisp with shit paint , see if tins that cost you 3times as much still look worth it . all these next brands of paint have only been around for the last 10-15years so know that excellent stuff can be done without snazzy paint.

I guess it's less about the paint than the caps and colours. I know what I'm doing, I just need better caps.

I maintain once again that you have absolutely no idea what you're doing.

Although it's entertaining you insist that you do.

Yeah, after reviewing what I posted, I'm going to go ahead and say that sleep is necessary for reasonable posting.
That was like a nine-mile deep ditch too.

sick paint.

monster colors is good to but what do you want it for?
I actually have to disagree on this one. I really think Ironlak is better. Ironlak's color is like DEEP, and strong as all hell.

this thread is going nowhere fast...
most people commenting about brands of paint seem to be from the UK, the situation is completely different in america with regards to pricing and availability, so you're going to get a lot of different suggestions.
By the sounds of it you've never spoken to anyone who takes graffiti seriously, or you would of already been told pretty much everything relaks has said already.

Yeah, LBL for me.
I've talked to a couple serious kids, but I was 15 at the time, and they were like "Oh well, I just like to write my name on stuff." This one kid jeff was a huge inspiration to me, because he was just like "well, it's hard to get started, but once you get to learn it's easier and easier" And I only recently got the supplies and stuff, because I've been concentrating on legal art for my portfolio. But yeah, expect decent shit from me soon.

there is a lot of history just in choosing your type of paint!
GET THEM ALL, and test them. All type has their qualities!

ImageImage
Just these two have both different qualities in how the line spreads . . .

Practice a few years and you will know them all by the smell!
My favorite until now has to be molotov premium and the norwegian Quick.
Thick controllable paint that you can use even in the winter!

montana Gold is also smooth, but a bit better for the fill than the lines . . .
the classic rustolium is a heavy type. Feels like using a fire extinguisher, and not to good for the detail, but for trains it awesome!

but what you really want is this![for silvers, trains and bombing!
super thick but cowering any surface!
