Loadin VST's into Logic...
Yeah i'm very new to producin dubstep.
Been mcing and producing bits of hip hop here and there. Using flstudio/protools/mpc 2000
But i've been wanting to get my setup running from my mac, so got a hold of Logic, got some VST's. problem is, i know how to load a plug in into protools, but have no idea how to do it with logic. Anyone with abit of experience explain this to me? or maybe i should just play around with it a bit more? i'm getting too wound up, maybe its cause i've been working all day.
anyway thanks in advance for anyone who feels like answerin
peace

Vst's Wont work with logic, You need something called an Audio unit or .Au This is logic's native plugin format, and almost every decent plugin/instrument you can get hold of comes in this format as well as vst's.
All I can say is that its a 'mac thing'. Im not dissing macs. I make all my music on one, but its just one of those things...

right info, wrong terminology: they're audio units, not VSTs.TEQH wrote: Probably wrong info but
and to install them u need to drag them to : harddrive>library>audio>plug ins>components
then they'll show up in logic as described by teqh
but VSTs wont work without a wrapper, and i dont know how stable or cpu-heavy this is. never tried.
Sorry for wrong terminology, Im not sure of the wrapper or anything as Ive never tried eitherBattle Gong wrote:right info, wrong terminology: they're audio units, not VSTs.TEQH wrote: Probably wrong info but
