i just happened on this thread because i was looking for some basic information on what equipment is used for dubstep, and i thought i'd post this link to a site about EQ for beginners. i hope this is helpful.

Without trying to scour through pages and pages of tut's. Is there a guide to just help me with making the basic dubstep break?

Thanks for the info, that's exactly why I came here! The dubstep sound is really exiting, blowing up even over here in Texas!
