noisia indeed do rule at everything EXCEPT DUBSTEP. as far as I am concerned they're the best producers out there (not only dnb mind you!) but from what I've heard from their attempts at dubstep, they have no clue what the sound is about. However they might have been working on dubstep since I forged this opinion so feel free to point out to me where I could find their latest dubstep works.
thats true actually, i heard their dubstep(ish) tune and its their only tune that hasnt impressed me, it's really dry and not very creative.upreal wrote:noisia indeed do rule at everything EXCEPT DUBSTEP. as far as I am concerned they're the best producers out there (not only dnb mind you!) but from what I've heard from their attempts at dubstep, they have no clue what the sound is about. they might have been working on dubstep since I forged this opinion so feel free to point out to me where I could find their latest dubstep worksHowever .
i get the feeling that maybe that tune wasnt made with "lets make dubstep" in mind though, more like "lets make something on a plodding tip"

Noisia make the most clinical productions, any audio for that downtempo bit?

I don't get the hype? Its all a bit samey with their stuff, I can say though that their sounds & production is quite stunning but I'd probably never buy any of their stuff

TBH, I don't really rate 99% of the stuff that I am hearing that comes from former DnB producers. For the most part, if they were big DnB PRODUCERS, they suck at Dubstep production almost invariably. There are instances of the good stuff, but let's count them on one hand and move on.
Nothing Noisia has ever touched is good.

errrr what mate?Surface_Tension wrote:Nothing Noisia has ever touched is good.
their drum and bass, although maybe not your flavour, is incredibly wide spectrum (contrast, say, 'diplodocus' with 'creep out' for 2 recent tunes) and some of the eelctro/breaks theyre doing is so sick.
it's all about 'split the atom':

These two tracks are drum & bass, its not noisia trying to do dubstep. Listen before replying.Surface_Tension wrote:TBH, I don't really rate 99% of the stuff that I am hearing that comes from former DnB producers.
