Lol, are you a moron? Listen to "The Tide" by Noisia.. and tell me that sounds samey.. every fucking bar is a different variation, and unlike other producer's they take their time on tracks.. I think that one I've quoted took them 7-8 months from start to finish.Legendary wrote:I don't get the hype? Its all a bit samey with their stuff, I can say though that their sounds & production is quite stunning but I'd probably never buy any of their stuff
But at the end of the day, they have thousands upon thousands of worldwide fans, you however.. do not.

Regardless of this post being in the wrong forum (shock horror), you still slated a tune you hadn't listened to. Not a good look.Surface_Tension wrote:Then why isn't it in the OTHER MUSIC forum? Not Dubstep, goes in the NOT dubstep forum.jrj2020 wrote:These two tracks are drum & bass, its not noisia trying to do dubstep. Listen before replying.Surface_Tension wrote:TBH, I don't really rate 99% of the stuff that I am hearing that comes from former DnB producers. For the most part, if they were big DnB PRODUCERS, they suck at Dubstep production almost invariably. There are instances of the good stuff, but let's count them on one hand and move on.
Signatures suck
i have a mate who totally loves noisia..
I on the other hand have respect for their ability to craft a decent track but have never heard anything from them that has given me the slightest emotive response.
Of all the stuff ive heard, the housey electro stuff pisses over anything else they make.

At the end of the day, local trance producers who have no following by trance standards sell more records than Burial does. I guess that means Burial sucks all ass, and the trance producers are good?humancond1tion wrote:But at the end of the day, they have thousands upon thousands of worldwide fans, you however.. do not.
And I don't need to hear a Noisia tune to know it sucks. I've heard one, I've heard them all. I used to listen to DnB and never got into Noisia... does Noisia play Dubstep?
No. Do they play DnB? Yes.
I don't rate DnB higher than, say... getting my prostate milked by a pit bull. So why would I need to listen to a DnB tune to know I think it sucked?

Some good advice here.
Noisia? They're everything that's wrong with DnB to be frank... all "engineering" and zero "attitude" - "filth" is no substitute for "grit"

you're either like it or not... whatever, i have great respect for them, music wise as well as sound wise. i think they are very talented and that we are going to hear a lot more from them on a broader level than they operate know.
what i would like to add to this 'discussion' is that respecting noisia's production skills is something different than liking there music. also i feel some frustration from people as they are emerging from the 'underground' and prob going to make a decent living from them music in the future.
at last i dont really get the topic starter as this is a DUBSTEP forum and this should be in the OTHER MUSIC section.... mods?

Nothing Noisia has ever touched is good.
I'd probably kill you if you were near me.
even if you don't like their style, Noisia's technical prowess far surpasses any dubstep producer i've heard to date. if you're gonna disagree, you'll have to show me
a lot of producers on this forum chat about layering bass sounds this and multiple filter that, but nobody in dubstep can do it like noisia do. check out tunes like 'the tide', 'exodus' and 'monster' to hear what they can do to a bassline. that said, tunes done with the mighty Phace are more up my street, moody, bit more minimal, but technically ridiculously good!
