fair play to you junglist man, you knew the tune wasnt up to standards before you upped it, but atleast you upped it. tbh when this thread was started i found it rather cringe worthy, but you lot who are coming back with"your tune is a joke", well thats even worseJunglist wrote:Once again sorry to disappoint and come up with loads of excuses and sound like a broken record, but even you have to admit that £20 headphones + 4 hours does not = 4 minute, playable tune. I hade the imagination and the idea for the track but agree 100% it did not pull offf, mabey with some more time it would do, either way the offers their.

Thanks, I knew I wouldn't win when I entered this duel because of my time and equipment restraints as well as the fact that I checked out Audiowrites myspace before I entered. And even though it was playable (yet cheesy generic wooble filled tripe) it was still what is liked from mainstream dubstep listeners. Whereas I have nowhere near the amount of experience I still gave it a shot and uploaded my work.darkmatterUK wrote:fair play to you junglist man, you knew the tune wasnt up to standards before you upped it, but atleast you upped it. tbh when this thread was started i found it rather cringe worthy, but you lot who are coming back with"your tune is a joke", well thats even worseJunglist wrote:Once again sorry to disappoint and come up with loads of excuses and sound like a broken record, but even you have to admit that £20 headphones + 4 hours does not = 4 minute, playable tune. And I will retire from the forum at the end of this but will probably return under a different name because I feel I have alot to offer this forum, a lot more that Just Rob anyway.
Sorry, not meaning to play devil's advocate here, but doesn't this;

conflict with this;Junglist wrote: Whereas I have nowhere near the amount of experience I still gave it a shot and uploaded my work.

And yes I do have the expertise because I have used every one of the programs listed for at least a good 20 - 25 hours minimum, if not into the hundreds of hours range.

Yes I have the experience with the programs and using them, but as I also said I hardly ever finish any tunes... so in that respect I still say I do not have as much experience making tunes as Just Rob, I do however have more experience using the programs.Wub wrote:
To use an example, a programmer might have a better knowledge of Microsoft Word, but a famous writer can make better novels on it.

So it was a lack of experience of finishing tunes that let you down?
Well not really more of a combination which I've stated above, time, equipment and yeah obviously finishing tunes. Although if I had, had more time I would have been able to do a much better job although I don not think this would be enough to win it rather give me less of a thrashing in the polls.Wub wrote:Junglist wrote:Yes I have the experience with the programs and using them, but as I also said I hardly ever finish any tunes... so in that respect I still say I do not have as much experience making tunes as Just Rob, I do however have more experience using the programs.Wub wrote:

Junglist wrote: Yeah like I said in the pro tools thread i'd completed about 5% of my tracks, and obviously have nowhere near as much experience as justrob, the problem was getting the sub to have some power because all the other sound used to make it sound dirty were taking up headroom, i thing alot more compression was needed and obviously alot more time + sub.
I don't think adding compression is the answer to this problem. Take out whatever you were running through a fucking bitcrusher and just turn the volume up on the sub. geesh.

HAH. I'd be down. Will he be turning in something that is like, 1:10 in length and doesn't have any structure? Or was that the rules of this contest?glottis5 wrote:Wow, maybe you guys should have a tune battle to settle thisJunglist wrote:Thanks for the constructive critique fuck face!Surface_Tension wrote:Gold Diaper could be released, TBH. That first shit was a joke. FTL.I made that 'tune' in under 4 hours...
The song wasn't long enough or Mastered to any degree but how was it 'shit' I guess because it didn't sound like your wobbly, clean America turd dubstep, that all sound a bit too much like it's Rusko & Caspa it doesn't pass your 'not shit' grade. A fair comment would say what you didn't like about it. Hell looking at your comments I couldn't see one post in the Production forum? So you came in here first post... Did you boyfriend ring you on you 'cell phone' and tell you to check this shit out and then leave a comment like that? homophobe..

P.S. Junglist, do fuck off and spew your homophobic nonsense some place else.
hahahaha
surface tension ftw.
