"SATURDAY 15TH NOVEMBER @ THE TUBE

After a successful spell of weeknight events Seasonfive is now moving to the weekend and we're bringing the most exciting names and the most innovative sounds in electronic music. For the first time Seasonfive is proud to welcome Pinch, the man widely recognised as the godfather of the dubstep sound in Bristol, not only through his own productions but also through his label, Tectonic Recordings. Seasonfive is also extremely proud to introduce Pangaea for his debut performance in Bristol. Being one of the founding members of the groundbreaking Hessle Audio imprint Pangaea has established himself as one of the scene's finest producers, with two flawless releases on the label.

PINCH (Tectonic recordings)
http://www.myspace.com/tectonicrecordings

It’s been 3 years since Pinch dropped the first instalment of Tectonic Recordings. War Dub, backed with Alien Tongue has become a milestone in dubstep history and is a sought after 12” for any collector. Since then, the label has carried tunes from the scene’s finest, including Loefah, Digital Mystikz and Vex’d. More recently, the label has focused more on a different sound, taking inspiration from Techno, which can be heard in Pinch’s debut album ‘Underwater Dancehall’, 2562’s album “Arial” and the huge “Infinity Is Now”, by Peverelist. Always providing fresh and innovative music, Tectonic Recordings has definitely established itself as one of dubstep’s finest labels.

Whether it be the atmospheric depth of Airlock, the moodiness of E.Motiv or the aggressiveness of Punisher, Pinch shows a versatility in his music, which is not rivalled by others producers.

In light of this, we are extremely happy to welcome Pinch for his first set at Season Five, showcasing the future sounds of Tectonic Recordings as well as his latest dubs.

PANGAEA (Hessle Audio)
http://www.myspace.com/journeytopangaea

Despite only being on its 6th release and its relative infancy, Pangaea and the other founding members of Hessle Audio have built one of the brightest labels dubstep has to offer. Being the home to classics such as TRG’s Broken Heart (Martyn Remix), Untold’s Kingdom and Ramadanman’s Blimey, the Hessle Audio back catalogue boasts a unique blend of deep rhythms and a dance friendly groove.

Pangaea’s own contribution to label is no exception. His first release, Coiled/Nest/Deviant expresses the sound that we are so passionate about. A perfect example of where less is more, all tracks have an element of space to them, which is perfectly accompanied with the hypnotic percussion melodies of Coiled, or the tribal rhythms and reverb-soaked vocal samples of Deviant.

Following up this release, Pangaea brings it back to take it forward, with a 12” featuring tight 2-step breaks, deep bass, soft house-chords and pads, which are all complimented with the soft vocals on ‘You and I’ and the 80’s male soul vocal featured on ‘Router’. These elements combined make Hessle Audio 006 one of the most original and innovative releases of 2008 and is a definite contender for single of the year.

Does anyone have a track listing for this mix? I'm at work and the bastards at my company have blocked that part of the BBC site so I can't get to MAH's page. Thanks in advance!

LDs bit was wicked bad.Love his one"yes yes" with benga and "oh yeah"..he has the sickly percussion going on which carry his songs well.
