I have re-hased the tune slightly from my original attempt. Would appreciatte any comments, particularly towards the production of the tune (this is my first effort at producing).

It is a very minimal track that needs polisihing!

Interesting ideas, but you need to work on the individual parts more. The drums don't really roll together and they're very quiet and muddy (rework the drums a bit and then look at combining the original sounds with the compressed sound and a reverb to pull them together). The bass doesn't cut it, look through recent threads that will help you with bass (think low cut filter with loads of resonance on sine or triangle oscillators).

Like the strings, good atmosphere - but they need to be set back further and could do with some more variation.

Feel free to listen to mine, http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=7131 , but I'm probably one or two steps behing practising what I preach! lol

:D

Good concept, Im feelin it for the sparseness. The vocal sample needs to be brought up more, I can imagine when you do put beats theyll drown that out. And the loop could use a bit of twistin, manipulatin, even if you havent found a proper beat for it, the loop will stay interestin. But it has mad potential.
