what old skool jungle?? haha you missed it mate
Didn't miss it! Just want to hear more brand new stuff in this style. There's the whole hardcore breaks / j-tek / rave breaks thing, which I love, but nice to hear some dubstep producers (especially those as big as Skream) going for this sort of style as well.

its basically jungle how it used to be, at a lower tempo to what drum n bass is at now.
the only major difference between old school jungle and this is that its a bit more updated.

I know!
There's a fair bit of this kind of thing at the moment like DJ Sike's nu jungle stuff (
http://www.myspace.com/djsike) or some of the j-tek or Nu Basement stuff. There's hardcore breaks as well, which is on more of an updated old skool hardcore tip. Loads of bits on vinyl at Nu-Rave, Choice, Red Eye and Hardcore Projektz.
I think a lot of people would welcome a return to the '92 - '94 sound as drum and bass and happy hardcore went off in totally different directions with no middle ground. Someone huge like Skream doing a few nostalgic sounding tunes will hopefully shed some light on the people who are
already trying to bring back the old skool jungle / hardcore vibe.

ye thats true.
but one of the reasons why tunes like this stand out so much and are so good, is cos of that novelty.
like u said there is no middle ground, and these updated sounds have that nostalgic factor. they wouldnt be so impacting if too many ppl started doing it.

Don't worry, I didn't miss out on jungle (unfortunately I'm not that young). I just want to hear more brand new tracks produced in the old style that I love. There are a lot of people going back to the old skool at the moment and it's cool to hear someone as big as Skream doing it.

I've been looking for some old jungle that sits at the slower 140 mark...
I missed the jungle revolution, so if anyone has some good suggestions to educate me then please PM or reply now, or forever hold your penis.

who's does the original?
cloud 9? moving shadow? I'm guessing.
Spot on, it's "you've got me burnin'" by Cloud9, which was Moving Shadow 27.
