has this even been posted in any other part of the forum? if it hasn't it should(like the dubs, mixes and dubstep sections too). because now its more like the dubstep forum ->production mixtape. Also can we have a poll on who gets to mix it next time? and make sure more people know whats going on. Not try'n to hate, just thinking a little more thought should of went into this to make it an official "dubstep forum mix". Because you're representing alot of people when you say "dubstep forum" you should at least involved them by letting them vote for the dj. Just my two cents, Looking forward to hearing this one though.

That's all cool but often that kinda thing ends up just taking too long for people to sort things out. Nobody objected to fstz/kidlogic, next time around maybe we can have a show of hands and then see what people think. I'd be up for doing the mix too at some point but again I think the most important thing is we get a good mix out of all the tunes!
what type off tracks people been sending in mellow subbed out or hype shit ect?

Its not really a full forum mix though, thats been handled by Bun Zero... this is just a production forum mix... hence no promo in the other parts of the forum.justrob wrote:has this even been posted in any other part of the forum? if it hasn't it should(like the dubs, mixes and dubstep sections too). because now its more like the dubstep forum ->production mixtape. And Im down for the voting for the next dj.. FSTZ and I volunteered and no one objected so we're up. I think P Domino should get the next one since he volunteered as well, and from there start the voting.

It is the production forum mix tape, but only insomuch that it is supposed to showcase the work of the folks who post here. It has nothing to do with representing the site, I haven't even messaged a mod for a sticky yet, it only represents the work of whoever reads about it here and wants to get in on it - It is not 'official' in anyway, other than the fact that some of us managed to get the idea rolling in the first place. The greatest thing is about this is that it managed to get some of us to cooperate and collaborate on something relatively quickly - and whatever flaws the first try might have, its still gonna be dope.
I understand what you're saying about better planning, but this was about not posting about it in the other forums to begin with, partially to avoid confusion, partially because I don't want to post and reply to the same topic in four different places on the forum. Most people know each other here, so there's a level of accountability where we all know who has who's tracks.. I wouldn't have suggested corralling everyone's tunes to my dropbox and then sending them off to a dj that they and I are not familiar with. The problem lies in putting the project out their on the table and getting people to trust it in the first place.
And the project had to start out small because ideas like this get shot down all the time.

oh and as for what kind of tracks people are sending in, all my are ambient dubstep, as in fat dubstep drums, pads, effects & for the bass a simple sine wave at 50-60 HZ, as well as the pads that go all the way down to 80 hz.

so what should we all take as the deadline for tunage submission? And what are the majority of tracks like? balls to the wall rinse out wobble tracks, or ambient ones?Jolly Wailer wrote:all members of the entire forum are encouraged to submit tracks for this mix though, just to clarify.
and the majority of the submissions thus far are a bit on the wicked side.

Christmas Day @ Midnight is the deadline for submissions.
And it would be unfair to generalize what the tunes sound like - they all sound different.
hard, soft and everywhere in between. so long as you submit.
