some quick questions

Post by phillyb » Sun Dec 14, 2008 8:09 pm

I've been using Reason for a little while now and learning a good amount... I obviously don't wanna stop at reason. I had a friend who used Protools for mixing and i learned a little. What are your suggestions as far as mixing software... do i always need something like an M-box? cause I know with Protools you do..This is where one can use VST plugins right? like on mixing software? I'm still pretty green with all this. Is there anything cheaper. I have some Ram on this computer but it's no mac so i don't know if i have the processing speed. Plus where can I read up on this software and how it works if i do get protools or something...?

REAPER is great for mixing in IMO.
just whack reaper into google, and download it. its pretty much free - you've only gotta wait 10 seconds or so when you fire the program up.
