im really feeling this sound at the moment, that really gritty sound, no rusko style woobles here, songs like dz down, the others bazooka, anything by subscape - badman transaction lion skank, ill bill bachleor choppa...
can anyone recommend me some similar sounds?

same tempo.

best bet is trying some dubs with more snares, generally makes them sound a bit faster and more upbeat.
