Sounds like bad luck bro!

I live right up the street from where you were attacked and have never been a victim of violence.

Definitely alot of sketchy people in the Tenderloin though. Mad crack,smack problem in the area.

Don't let that deter you from coming back though, that kind of shit can happen anywhere.

Anyway, hope the rest of your trip was cool

the truth. sorry to hear about this. the worst part is having your girlfirend or significant other around when it goes down. many times i've had random stuff like this happen in nyc, and nearly 75% of time, it's not worth retaliating.

Sorry that happened to you. I would be mad as hell.
I dont know if this is any consolation (probably not) but I used to wander through the tenderloin at night drunk as f*ck and i never got hassled(thank god). I also lived there and near there a few years and only had beef once- A gang of young idiots jacked me for my headphones and an old cassette playing walkman (this was back in 93 or 94) .

Oh wait I also was pick pocketed on the Geary Bus. Almost threw down with a guy twice my size.. anyway enough of my bs.

I hope you feel better and please don't be afraid to visit The Bay area come down to San Jose where I live.
Its one of the safest cities in the U.S. <jokes> (I had my apartment burglarized a couple of weeks ago and woke up to a drunk stranger in my bedroom staring down at me and the Mrs.)

one of the weird things about this whole ordeal was the fact that me and JUST the two girls - without our buddy Mike who hovers at about 6ft - had accidentally wandered thru the heart of the Tenderloin the day before - south down Taylor to Market. skeeeetchy... but no one touched us.

this one was so out-of-the-blue. i was starting to get a little on-the-fence about how nifty that city is after being there 3 times in the last 16 months, but i honestly think i have better places to visit now. enough of SF for me for a long time.

Bad luck man, Im telling you that was a freak incident. Ive never had anything of that sort happen to me, I once met a super chill crackhead named Indian though! I can understand not wanting to come back for a little while but... Youngsta and Hatcha on the west coast!!! cant miss that one!
