it takes a long long time to get into any juicy stuff. weaapons etc.
the first few lessons should teach you a few cool moves tho. its all defensive which makes it pretty hard to master. cool stuff tho

Been doing Hung gar for a while some northern bits. Never got round to wing chun myself but its on my to do list

im starting after xmas, also gunna go along to shoalin training, i did it years ago and it got me well fit but several thousand pounds on booze and cigarettes means i have got my self in a bit of a state. the footwork in wing chun is a little difficult to get used too tho

Like any MA though all it needs lots of fucking training this goes against the drinker,smoker, lazy bastard in me so its always bee a bit of a battle.

do you know if the school has a good rep?
Lots of cowboys around if you don't know to much about the place ask lots of questions and keep an eye on the higher grade students if you can, they will say alot about the school.
