DUBSTEP IS SHIT! YOU KNOW IT!

Post by detuneproductions » Thu Dec 18, 2008 1:58 pm

Does anyone think that nearly every track in the dubs forum sounds the same? That annoying synth everyone seems to have is starting to piss me off. That dist high pitch wobbler thing? Man it sucks!

Must be at least 90% of new releases are shit. I can't even shop for dubstep vinyl anymore. Pick up 20 tracks to listen to and might actually buy 1 or 2 if any.

Are people just cottoning on to whatever they've heard recently?
The music has already completely changed from when I started mixing it in 2005. Used to be that every track actually made you feel something. A proper mood to it. Now it's all generic shit.

Can't wait for the big scene divide when all the clownstep, druggy twats fuck off to their own little K-holes.

STOP CREATING NEW LABELS FOR EVERY TRACK THAT GETS RELEASED!
YOUR RUINING THE SCENE THAT I LOVED SO MUCH A YEAR OR TWO AGO!

Sorry for the rant I just wondeing if anyone feels the same.
(For people who've known about dubstep for more than a year)

rule number one in any musical style - celebrate the good stuff and ignore the crap. there's always crap about. why not post about the 2 artists you liked this year, rather than diss everybody.

Basically every single one of you whiners is complaining because the popular side of dubstep is moving in a direction you don't like and you want it to stay exactly where it was when you first discovered dubstep.

Sorry but it doesn't work like that. I admit that alot of the releases right now are over done wobble bangers but there have been enough quality releases still.

If I cared enough I'd pull up 100 big tunes worth buying this year. Actually just check out the thread about best tunes in 2008.

yeah I've been making tracks for like 3 year now.
http://www.virb.com/detune
I only self taught though so I ain't got the skills to make what I want.

I'm just saying that tracks used to force you to dance. Tracks like hunter and moments in love rmx.
Now its just oh a new dubstep track. i like dubstep so it's good.
this is the biggest butt licking forum on the net.

At least burn agrees with me. Seems everyone who disagrees is a 2008 member. You even heard the tracks that defined the scene?

Never said there wasn't quality tunes. Said I thought 90% was shit. The other stuff is what keeps me loving dubstep. You think i'd be posting on here if I didn't like any of it?

You made the descition to be part of this dubstep community, no one forces you to stay of leave...so make it comfortable for yourself, stay positive, be energetic...inspire us with - for you - REAL dubstep music, talent, innovators...

Nobody likes people that bring bad news without any solutions...
