whats up

i'm from london (NW). used to be into garage way back when. Got bored of raving to drum and my true love hiphop has turned into a soap opera so to find dubstep is really refreshing. schooled myself on benga and skream and the allstars series but my mate put me onto anti social and that has taken it to the next level for me. Silkie is a badman!

New to the forum, hello everyone!

I'm from Gothenburg, Sweden (big up All Out Dubstep!). Me and a couple of mates host a dubstep club called Shambler. So, I'm here mainly to keep a look out for new tunes for myself, and maybe I'll find some acts to book for our next club night too...

and dubstep allstars vol 3 (the kode9 one) This ones probs my favourite of what i have more like it would be great.

Thought i would drop a line on the new members thread.

I currently live in Leeds and anyone who has been around knows that the scene is booming right now, everyone who's anyone seems to be down at tribe looking for dubplates to smash out at parties.

Me and my friend Tom have been building a soundsystem with the guidance of a few lads affiliated with sub dub / exodus while playing a fair few sets at parties around Hyde Park.

It's nice to see a lot of love on the scene from different heads and i hope the same goes for here. I have joined generally to try and locate tunes which are proving difficult to get along with hearing the odd VIP and remix.

I have been DJ'ing for a fair few years now, about ten, moving to dubstep from dub. My heart lies with records like SYNKRO - Jah Love and Chimpo - Children of israel.

For the moment i'm trying to get release dates for Chase & Status - Saxon and Cotti - We Raise the temperature. Im sure saxon will be on ram, maybe on the back of another D&B tune.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, at the end of the day were all here for the love of the music. If you could PM details that would be better as i'm not too great with forums.

Also wondering if there will be any further pressings of Coki's remixes of Burnin' and Gangsta for Life by movado. Things seem pretty dry for them so as i said any help would be appreciated along with dub based recommendations of tunes that fit with the kind of records i want to play.

I will be uploading a new mix in the next few days for you guys to hear.

I'm a vinyl only guy, no cd's which doesn't make anything any easier but if you know of any good pressings help us out.

Not my first post but never took the time to introduce myself.

Always liked a lot of different music. Always loved what was either dark, experimental, psychedelic, raw or beautiful. Dubstep has the possibility to be anything, since it's so versatile. And that bass...oh god...

Weirdly enough, it's Dubstep that introduced me to bass music (jungle, dnd, grime, etc), but still is my favorite kind of electronic music. I felt in love with it past summer, when I heard Skream and Michael Red play at Shambhala (Canada, BC). Since then, I can't get enough to fill my need. I am, right now, a bass addict, and need more, more and more.

So I could say that I havent been into dubstep for too long, but I already know a lot more about it than a lot of people into the scene here in Montreal since I'm a fucking dub-junky.

It's nice to see the scene is growing bigger and bigger in Montreal right now. I'm happy to be a part of it.
