drum libraries

safe everyone, can anyone suggest a site where i could download drum libraries, cos the one which i got with my programme is getting a bit boring and played out

This may sound a bit arsey but google is a great tool man.

If you use searches like:

intitle:index of /samples

or other words like 'fx' or 'sounds' etc you can find a site without an index page so you just get a list of wavs/mp3s etc to download ;)

put this into google: ?intitle:index.of? wav snare

you can swap out the word snare for whatever

I've found some choice drum sounds that i've picked out of breaks downloaded from this page:

It is essentially a *huge* list of classic breaks lifted from some legendary records. Some of the recordings/compression are really bad so sound quality varies.

Still a good resource though...

I've found they work really nicely when combined with more electronic style hits to create a better 'textured' sound.

*** EDIT ***

I just discovered this goldmine too which has much better recordings. Again though, as breaks they have limited appeal but cutting the actual sounds out of them yeilds excellent pickings :)
