Ive got a melodica version of Take 5 by Bobby Kalphat on 7" called Kunter Punch...awsome tune...on Faith recs...
Agree with the racket, King Tubby meets rockers uptown is a monster of an album...as is Ital Dub...
One of my fave dub tunes is the King Tubbys dub to Move out of Bablyon by Johnnie Clarke...awsome..
oh and Im Alright by Keith Hudson with Horace Andy...deep bizinz
My fave albums....
Beware dub by Yabby You
King Tubby Presents Soundclash dubplate style - instrumental version - 80's digidub....sikness
Harry Mudie meets King Tubby in dub conference 1,2&3...some of the best dub ever made IMO.

Woah. Nice one dubway. Hadn't heard of that before. Ruff tune. I really need to catch up on those Basic Channel re-releases.dubway wrote:Ackie - "Call Me Rambo"
Glen Brown played melodica on quite a few tracks, as did Peter Tosh, neither in the same league as Pablo though, that Far East style is too tough..
The Blood & Fire dub releases are all essential (check http://www.bloodandfire.co.uk ), my particular favourites being: Freedom Sounds in Dub, Termination Dub (killer Glen Brown rhythms), Pick A Dub (Keith Hudson) and King Tubby's Prophesy of Dub (heavy Yabby You rhythms). They've got some big reductions if you buy from them direct..
Surprised noones mentioned Blackboard Jungle Dub yet..killer Lee Perry dub album, recently re-released by Aurulax..Trojan also have 2 double CDs of Perry dub albums, both containing 3 albums..all essential (and good VFM).
Also noones mentioned Java Java Java..Java is probably one of my top 5 all time tunes..

I've heard Kode9 drop this on his Rinse show a few times..it's a great track..not feeling the rest of the basic replay stuff as much..i've got more preference for the Wackies reissues..dq wrote:Woah.
