First impressions- I don't like it.

I particularly dislike the vocals. Too trancey or something.

I don't think it sounds much like Burial either.

I agree.

As for the quality, the original is such an abomination of a tune that even Flying Lotus can't make it sound half decent.

For those who don't know, seek out Burial's remix of 'Be True' by Commix. Probably my favourite Burial bit.

I also.
it doesn't feel 'submerged', or as fragile and decaying as Burial does, especially with regards to the vocal.

Burial aside, it's not bad. flying lotus got his own, different kind of swing

Recently, [like the past three weeks.] Iv been attempting to remix this track...& long story short, about a day ago I realized you can "not polish a turd" .
Even expressed that those exact words to my mates.

All I'v heard from Flying lotus, I'v enjoyed, up until now. .

I appreciate what Kanye was trying to do with this album, giving the current style of US pop a level of intelligence and artistry - but unfortunately if I hear another Akon-style autotune widdly bit on a vocal I may kill someone. Fly-Lo's treatment of it is great but it can't stop that vocal effect giving me the feeling that someone is twisting my teeth with pliers.

come now... its not THAT bad. i hated the auto tune at first too but while not as prominent there are a thousand "dubstep" songs with the same effect... Just rest assured that the man doesnt do a damn thing just for shits. Dude is passionate about his work. I saw love lockdown live on the tube and thought it was awesome. west does have a knack for live gigs but for listening at home late at night the flylo remix is much better.

That doesn't mean everyone has to like or respect him.

I'm surprised to see some of the comments in this thread, I love the remix. :| I haven't heard Kanye's version though, or listened to enough mainstream pop to get tired of Autotuned vocals...

I can see the good parts, not the worst dubstep i've heard, but damn those vocals are shite!!!
