Oh so many of my things have been ruined by royal mail! The most costly has been not one, but TWO tax returns, costing me a total of £1100 (£300 in charges and £800 in unpaid taxes!) which is not great seeing as im now a student!

I also had my mum send me a hoody once in the post and with it she sent some home made fudge. When I got the package I noticed that it had been opened and re-sellotaped. Although i thought this was a bit odd it looked quite cleanly done so i figured that my mum had forgotten to put something in after sealing it and opened it back up. However when i got in all i found inside was the hoody (which was fine) and with it the fudge wrapper with "tasty" written on it! Needless to say I couldn't prove anything as it wasn't sent insured but someone at the royal mail is a fudge thief!

headline reads

Royal mail the death of mail

for years the brittish public have sent postcards informing friends and family of what a delightful time they have had on their holiday in great yarmouth, dorset, brighton and even margate only to find in recent times that their beloved postcards were being missplaced or lost or turning up a week later once the holiday was over.

Dodgy dave from the royal mail was quoted "we cant keep track of everything sometimes things slip through the system, they should have sent a text or email atleast then they know theyre get it on time"

quality dave quality.
one angry frequent bday card sender from cardiff said "the royal mail couldnt deliver a pizza without nicking the cheese off it and they wonder why they dont get pay increases id like to give them a strike.....round the back the head with this lead pipe. lazy bunch of C**ts.

So in conclusion if it dosent have to be sent by post dont send it as the royal mail have clearly stated they dont give a shit what happens to it, not there problem.

If you have a story about the royail mail please write a text to us on +44idontreallyhatetheroyalmail

when i was younger i got my arm stuck in a postbox after trying to retrieve a letter i posted to my teacher telling her what i thought of her at the time and realised that it was in my best intrest that she didnt see it.

when the postman come he just laughed and was gonna leave me there till the end of his shift, luckily a friendly neighbourhood hero come to my rescue with some butter and grease.

luckily for me the letter never reached the teacher

Ok, here goes. This place I used to work in (which shall remain nameless) ran a yearly competition to promote unsigned musicians, which meant we would receive thousands of demo CD's through the mail. All the CD's were carefully listened to then the contact details were logged into a database for reference, and a small percentage would eventually end up performing and going on to get label deals.

At the end of the year (months after the event) there was a buzz on the intercom, and being the general office dogsbody I went downstairs to see who was at the door. It turned out to be a tired and angry postal worker holding a sack (not a bag, a sack) full of undelivered, torn up, dog eared and generally busted CD envelopes. There must have been about 200 registered & recorded mail items in there which we had to go through and check. That's about £400 worth of postage plus the materials - nice work Royal Mail...

Can't wait for Royal e-Mail - gonna be a sure-fire winner!
This is neither time or the place.

Back in the day when we used to fuck about on the estate, this one kid who was a couple of years older than us (he mustve been about 9, us about 7) had the idea of pouring 2 litres of water into a postbox, which he then did. coincidentally at the same time the postman, and by postman i mean fat fucking walrus sized postman pat, came to pick up the post. he got out of his car and stormed up to him bellowing and kicking off which brought him to the edge of tears, but then also said 'this is the ROYAL mail, you're going to get done for TREASON' and fucked off.

the next day he was gone, day after that his mum put in a missing persons thing, massive search for him and everything (if anyone remembers the film dennis when all the kids are out on the street looking under cars and that, it was exactly like that). turns out two weeks later he's found in gloucester in some sort of den in a forest hiding out firmly believing he was gonna get hung.

glad you reminded me of it :D

When I was younger I thought it would be funny to post a pack of crisps to a mate of mine. Popped the full pack with at least 6 1st class stamps (the more stamps the faster it gets there!!! obviously!!)

Needless to say I never thought it would reach him but I got a call a few days later saying that he recieved the pack of crisps empty but left inside was a note that said something along the lines of "Tell your mate I'd have prefered cheese and onion"

Thought that was pretty funny but reading it back it sounds very boring.... guess you had to be there 8)

I had an epic quest in bedminster to find an industrial estate where my much awaited Djembe drum was being held. On my way I encountered helpful children, horrible children and even more horrible drunks.
All because of the royal mail
