I watched the Birds and the original Cape Fear the other day, Robert Mitchum was brilliant in Cape Fear, far better than de Niro and the film was a lot creepier.

The birds was good too, I like the way there was no explanation for the attacks and that it ended so abruptly with no happy ending.

I was watching the Hitchcock Rear Window, but vegged up on the sky plus and deleted it somehow instead of pausing it, duuh.

'Together' - made by Lukas Moodysson ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Together_(2000_film) )

A Swedish film about a Communist Commune in Stockholm, and what happens when one of the member's family moves in, really enjoyed this - some very funny moments and an eventually uplifting end ( recently i have grown weary of watching films where the end makes you want to slash your wrists with the edge of the DVD - so this was a nice change). I can recommend it.

this is one of the few films that ever put me to sleep. for me it just kinda meandered quietly, not really doing much. there were some positives though, i liked the last 15 minutes or so, the cinematography is great, plus the soundtrack is really good (the ending credits tune is sublime).
