There needs to be some sort of sign that tells people whether a thread is sarcastic or not. Perhaps [\sarcasm] at the end of each post?

Pretty tragic that there are so many people that take this shit so goddamn seriously though.
Or just not post pathetic threads like this - spesh when its always not funny and pretty much just makes a repeat of every other thread, just the people who don't read 'Dubstep' get to test there witts while they're bored at work..
Hey mate, my post wasn't directed at you, it was more a general observation. Didn't mean to cause offence.

Well, for what its worth, the thread was a joke. I hope most people realised that. Whether people found it funny or not is a different matter.

Personally, I find the whole 'so-and-so's ruining dubstep' or how certain social trends or the way that dubstep has got bigger and bigger and spread into new arenas and avenues debate a cyclical one. There's never gonna be a resolution. The notion that dubstep's been 'ruined' seems to me crazy. I don't even know what that tangibly means.

I tried parodying the situation. Clearly, some people either didn't get it or didn't like it. Its good that a lot of people are still so passionate about the music and the scene but maybe there's more constructive ways to channel that passion than engaging in po-faced discussions about whether it might not be as great as it was in 2005/2006/2007/whenever.

this x100

people whinging on the internet isn't going to do a great deal to shape dubstep so just be happy with what there is. i agree there's loads of dull monotonous crap about but there's also some absolute gems, and tbh it wouldn't do a lot of people any harm to delve into other genres if people think dubstep has died or stagnated. cross pollination can never be a bad thing

Whales.

Whales ruined dubstep, with their incessant caterwauling in the ocean and whatnot.

oh and trendy ass people who are more concerned with telling the world how 'dubstep' they are than shutting the fuck up and kicking back and listing to the damn music.
