Last major shift? If anything, dubstep is transitional, an open door into new polyrhythms and tempos out of the 4/4 beginnings of electronic music. It's only the beginning.

totally not.

the next step will be wen dubstep becomes poppy and commercial...

i think i'll name it..CLUBSTEP.

nice half-time beat with good bass but shitty AWFUL catchy shit over the top.

i think the cheeky girls will come out of the gutter and pave the way.

CLUBSTEP FOR EVERYONE!!

Welp that's it everyone, whoami just singlehandedly ruined dubstep. :P

Seriously though you know that shit is going to come out of the woodwork sooner or later. Some dubstep producer is going to steal some woman who does vocals in trance songs and we'll all have to collectively commit suicide.

lol i wouldn't necessarily mind that. experimentation is the key. who knows, a few years from now a completely new genre could emerge based on the works of one particular artist, i mean i doubt horsepower artwork and co. knew that dubstep would take on quite as many guises as it currently does when they were first making dark garage.
