Soundcard

Post by crypt » Sun Jan 18, 2009 7:54 pm

I'm thinking about upgrading my soundcard, but as I'm a student, I'm on a budget.. So i'm thinking like 70-100 pounds.. Anyone got some suggestions? Or will I have to pay more to get something decent?
Thanks!

I think you can get a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 for that amount or lower.

Pretty decent entry-level soundcard.

I had an Emu 0404 before, That was pretty good, and i think it was pretty cheap as well.

PCI so only works on desktops, dont know if this is relevant.

Yeah thats a pretty decent entry level card. I actually have one on my interent pc. Its not professional but better than an standard pc card or onboard sound.

A good card will cost you tho.

The M-Audio Fast Track USB is pretty good for the price.
