finally got around to listening last night. i'd hate to say it but to sit through each tune, to give them all a chance, was a bit of a chore. there are some interesting songs on here but there's also a lot of seemingly rehashed ideas as well, particularly the more noodley bass guitar solo stuff.

at least he's not making the same record over and over again like most people want. i would still drive hundreds of miles to see squarepusher play. i still have faith in the pusher. however i wonder if this album will ever be part of the soundtrack of my life, as his previous works once were.

on second and third listenings it gets a bit better. it's defintely more fusion/rock-ish.

So, should we start a new thread about the Numbers Lucent EP?
maybe Mr. Sqpusher has a trick or 2 left after all?
(I dunno, I haven't heard the whole thing yet)

yeah his new stuff sounds awful.

is this really like album 12 ?

I read that girls aloud have had 19 hits - no-one can remember any of them.

is he going down that route lol ?

true to say the really old stuff like 'theme from ernest borgnine' is amazing...

Off the top of my head:

Sound of the underground.
Jump (Pointer sisters cover).
No good advice.
Life got cold.
Love machine.
Something kinda oooh.
I think we're alone now (Tiffany cover).

the illegal dustbin single is pretty dope, IMO.
