i would like to know propa filter vst's.. especially bandpass/hipass filters

Heard (and read) good things about psp nitro, most of my filtering is done in kontakt and Cool edit pro 2.0 so I too would like to know more about vst filters as i am pretty clueless atm on whats good.

i like the tc electronics filtrator, hipass/lowpass up to 24db, LFO and envelope and some kind of softclipping.

I got the emulator x2 which is pretty cool and usable for most of what I need, but it'd be good to have a notch filter on top for those nasty techstep sounds. Unfortunately you can't have more than two filters at a time which seems a bit of an oversight - would be nice to get a midi controllable notch filter if anyone knows of a good freebie - I is broke as ever

Check: http://www.kvraudio.com for all info on plugins. I get most of my info from that database. And they list LOADS of free plugins.

Totally forgot the minion filter that I found on KVR - does some mad panning, spatial business and really good for some mad sounds - stick it over a reverb send and it'll modulate like mad, quite musical too

Frohmage by ohmboyz is ridiculous for applying to basslines
