To me it sounds kinda busy? Like everything is on the same level, there is no depth to it.

But it has a melody and keeps a beat which is always good.

Probably not the best person to be giving feedback to be honest because it's not really my cup of tea.

Although one thing I did notice was the kick vanished for a bit? But then it came back so I guess it was intended.

Sorry I can't be of much use but I thought I'd get the ball rolling on the replies front ;)

Couple of things.
The mixdown needs a little work - the snare needs more snap/punch i'd add a clap with some reverb personally and a snare hitting the lower 100 to 150 hz area. The hats stick out over the mix probably cos the snare aint up so much but might need bringing down a little.
Where's the sub? The bass kicks in hitting the mid ranges big time i'd add some kind of sine wave following the notes of the main bass hitting lower at 45hz etc.
I think the ideas you got are good just needs producing a bit more - needs a touch of eq (in particular the gameboy style noise that comes in has alot of low end that it don't need - hi pass it a bit.) Also the synth drones in the background listening again to it need a bit of hi pass cutting too. The main lead is pretty loud too. Remember to cut most things that aint bass at about 200hz, kick probably a little lower see what it sounds like with a sub though first.
Anyway just my two cents.

There is also something wrong with the high synth in terms of stereo field. Maybe its just panning, but it sounds a bit phasy.
