These users should create a new user account, like you have done and use this new account. In case the old username included a lot of personal messages you would like to transfer to the new username, we will need you to send a private message for this, however this should include a part of a text of a private message, so we can track the USER ID and assign it to the new one.

i received emails from these users that their usernames and all their posts have been lost:
nookajones
Matt3r
rezpez
Vesicle
DawsonB
they have been deleted as well? can they get their private messages back?

I am very sorry, but yes. We can try to replicate their data (pms, settings, etc) from the old database, but the database changes from phpbb2 to 3 are really huge and I cannot guarantee this. Perhaps we could migrate the private messages, but this is also something we cannot commit to.

In the 'view my posts' section, the column that displayed the name of the subforum that the post was made in no longer shows at my end? There is a column where it would normally have been, yet the subforum names aren't listed.

Previously the subforum names were clickable making it a useful feature for 'power-browsing' (read 'wasting to many hours to want to admit too')...

an "Search this Forum" feature.

Check out. http://www.northamericandnb.com/viewforum.php?f=1 to see what I mean. They have a "Search this Forum" option besides the "New Topic" button. Makes it a lot easier to search forums quickly (also an (search this topic option when inside a topic).

Thread previews (i.e. hover over a thread title, see the first post of the thread)

In-line thread editing. Just for quicker edits.

Also, will we be getting 'rankings'?

how do u figure? if they have to get their first 25 approved then if theyre spamming the post doesnt get approved and wouldnt count toward their post count so actually less spamming.
