Just can't figure out how to record midi into audio. Can export, but is there not some way to record the audio right onto an audio track? Am I really gonna have to use edison in the mixer channel?

Edit, have a q about this, but I didn't know we had our very own cubase q and a thread. Will be moving over there peace future readers.

Route the vst instrument output to a group channel then set the group channel output to the audio channel you want to record on, arm it and and hit record. Bit long winded and I think it only works on Cubase 4 and above. Hope that helps.

Don't know if I posted it here or in the cubase q and a thread, but that technique ^ will give you different results, especially in the transients than bouncing the audio. FYI. The sound to my ears the same, but looking at the waves, you get different results.

Okay, got a q 4 u all compassionate enough to keep reading - if you draw a loop in the project page, is there a way to get the cursor to snap to the start of the loop? Like I am listening, I see I've gotta tweak something in bar 6, so I draw a loop, the cursor is already past, anyway to get it to start at the loop rather than continuing on or starting from the last start position?

I can't think of an instance where you would draw a loop, but want the cursor to continue on to some other part of the song.

get into changing the hotkeys so they're where you want them to be, and then boy things start to flow much faster.

I like the F keys in cubase cos they bring everything up.

FL dumps in cubases mouth in every regard except for pdc and sample accurate audio in arrangement area.

Cubase follows decade old paradigms not because they are more powerful, efficient or intuitive but because they're cheap and conceited.

Nuendo and Cubase have been kicking Pro Tools and Logics butts in studios worldwide since the turn of the century.
