They're only overrated in the same way that DeadMau5 is overrated - producers who have taken an idea that at it's core is relatively simple, and have made it their own. DeadMau5 produces stadium electro house. It's not especially good electro house, or ground breaking, or particularly complicated. But he's done it and marketed it in such a way that you ask your average teeny bopper what their favourite electro house track is and they'll say Ghosts & Stuff.

I'd suggest researching the artist more before making a comment like that. He has his fair share of innovative and deep shit.

Since when did you need to make amazing music to have an opinion? That being said, I just dont get why people care about this shit. You could actually be writing music or listening to music or dancing to music instead of complaining about music. So what if people like/want to make something thats not 'cool' it leaves more 'cool' for you to soak up (cos thats why you like music right? cos someone elses creative endeavours define you, by association ).

Its easy to hate on stnuc (I could very well be doing it right now ) but why not take the positives out of the situation: they are expanding the potential audience for YOUR music simply by the quality/accessability/ingenuity (delete as applicable) of their music. They (whoever it is, sweeping generalisations apply to EVERY situation) make people experience that WTF moment which changes peoples lives, surely youre not to jaded to remember that moment? Who cares where it comes from, it matters that it happens. If I can do that to one person I will die a happy man, Im not even joking.

Personally Im gonna wait till the music industry fucks me over completely and leaves me dead in the gutter next to my shattered dreams and the diseased corpse of my tattered selfworth before I start taking potshots. Or maybe Im a coward and like to attack minnows to satisfy some deep passive aggressive hatred deep in my psyche, its a mystery.

I didnt understand a wooord of your post, n I got no clue wtf you were trying to communicate, but this makes it sound like it mighta been kinda deep, so props.

Sorry am a bit inebriated: Less caring about other artists + These artists people hate on are still artists and people should recognize the positive aspects of their creativity + wait till your career is long over before calling out people.

Too be quite honest I actually like jaydot's tunes. Especially that frog one because it just sounds so crazy its like what the fuck is that shit?

But its kinda funny when he criticizes the datsik/excision sound when he himself tries to emulate the sound. Some good, some bad.
