Is it worth nominating 'Digital Mystikz' for Best Producer (for the two LP efforts, despite one being Mala & the other Coki) or will it inevitably be separated when it comes time to voting?

Damn, I just realized, after reading all the votes for Ramadanman, that I bought 10 or so tunes from him this year that are regularly in my mix rotation. Serious vibes from him this year.

For me though, Bombaman. He's been keeping the deep bassy vibe of dubstep while making some of the heaviest, driving rhythms and creative soundwork I've ever heard.

some of my favorites this year

james blake
guido
pariah
silkie
kromestar
untold
CRST
girl unit
ginz
headhunter/addison groove

pretty good year for the music, even if the scene is split into a million different pieces

Other than the Mystikz obv...

I don't think anyone can really touch Krome or Distance.

Both making their own style of music, getting better and better at it, the more they make the bigger fan I become.

Absolute Dons!

Surprised there's not been more love for Pinch! Man gave us two of the year's absolute heavyweights. Wasn't a big fan of The Boxer, but Swish and Croydon House were enough to put him right at the front for me. Goth-Trad's been churning out some quality too, his Medi release and Sublimation were some of the year's highlights imo. Also Icicle, SP:MC, Lx One, Youngsta, and Kryptic Minds were keeping it dark as fuck while I was getting my hands dirty over summer - got harder to distinguish their respective sounds though, so I kinda see them as a collective rather than individual artists now.

I'm quite surprised nobody mentioned the "Cloud Seed" LP from Vex'd. Sure not the same as Degenerate but I loved every moment of it. Super deep and some parts that were just ridiculously heavy too.

I mentioned it in the best album topic. As far as producers go. On top of the game, but not the best this year.
