RightOnTime27: definitely feelin this track the more and more you do to it. only thing is i feel like the beat is kinda slow? those hi hats are cool but the claps i feel like should be brought up a litlte more. love the purple vibes
amphibian: love this. love the intro. love the drop. good work on those hi hats too. that flute sounds so natural in the background too. violin synth sounded pretty dope too. alls i can think would be to perhaps add a couple effects in here and there to keep it just a tad more interesting. great track so far tho man
Cyberex: this is pretty fucking sick. reminds me of robostep before ppl started callin it brostep lololol. definitely a heavy track, but you did a good job so im not exactly sure what to tell you as far as feedback goes. it did get a little repetitive, but the second drop was sick. nice vocal sample as well! guess uh...idk OH maybe double the tempo up at that second drop? iim so fucking tired sorry if this is bad advice D:

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
@ cheeky - sounds alright, the synth in the intro just has a frequency that makes it grate slightly on the ears but i guess thjats what your goin for in the buildup. The ride cymbal is too high in the mix compared with the snare and kick, they need to be more prominent as theyre somewhat lost in noise atm. The wobblwe sounds pretty good. maybe just vary it a bit more witht he other wobble so you got em both working together .. that way the ear doesnt get bored of just one playing, keeps people interested. keep switchin up.

First time sharing a wip here.
This track is nearing the final hurdle. Its minimalism is intentional so I dont want to go overboard adding too much else in terms of layer.
Criticism very much welcome!

Right on time 27 :great tune man. I personally think the drums could have a lot more balls but that personal preference. Really like the almost awkward flow of the track.
Nylle: Love the piano and you drum samples are great. Lovely track. Maybe some sparse vocal samples would be a nice touch?
Steeple: Great vibes. Well mixed also, everything is sitting in nicely. Good work!
Funicular: Great use of a wobble (which I'm not usually into). Tasty pick up at the 3.40 mark. Great synth sounds.
Amphibian: Seriously well produced tune! As someone else said, maybe the melody is just a little weak. Flute samples are great.
Kayadubz : Loving the tune. Lots of interesting stuff going on. Great samples.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
wife - thats a pretty cool track.. what genre is it? crispy sounding
cheeky - you need to add more elements... the breakdown and intro seems to have nothing at all to do with the main part of the track either ..
nylle - nice piano and really nice steppy beat but it got abit repetetive i think.. the beat that is
rightontime27 - this was um., slow and strange
heres mine:

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
Naklewicket; cheers. I have no idea what genre it is - bass music? It's definately the 'fastest' (even though its at 140bpm) songs I'v produced to date. First time I individually eq'd every sample too so maybe that explains the crispness.
Liking your tune alot. Really well mixed and produced. I think it would benefit from having an extra melody or element introduced after the halfway mark.

@right on time- Nice hit hats and percussion arrangement from 2.05 not sure about the high pitched sound at 1.50 - feel like the track needs some more elements.
@nylle - loved the atmospheric intro, loved the mellow vibes of "into nothing" overall. the part where the sub bass kicked in at 2.00 felt a little too sparse though.
@Cheeky- nice dirty bass! maybe try some lfo rate changes to vary it up a bit? agree with rubicon on the first synth being a little piercing as well.
here's my track - i could really do with some tips on levels so feel free to comment.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
_sakura : that kick is too loud man! Completely obscuring all of the other elements in the track
Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
@_sakura that kick is not matching the song at all , try using a different sample
it ruins all the frequencies i believe !

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
@ Nackle & Wife: thanks for those tips, definitely going to implement them. was already thinking the beat needed to change up a little more and have been searching for some vocal samples but no luck...yet! nice wips btw

Posted a little feedback earlier, some on mine would be appreciated.
Produced on shitty laptop speakers so Im unsure of what it actually sounds like so, its very raw, basic ideas atm, shit intro/mixing etc.

Origins; sounds good man. Hard to get a feel for the whole song as its a short sample. Good mix - maybe the lead wobble/synth is a little to loud. Could push your subs/low end a little more too I think

really liking this one, very nice and purple. maybe just spice up your percussion a little bit, maybe a fatter kick and a some more hats. other than that this is a really good tune, you got your purple sound down really good
