Sigh, you don't get it. The anger's not because of commercial dubstep. You'll find a lot of people here who like it. The reason why people are getting pissed at you is cos you're openly admitting to exploiting dubstep as a business venture and you don't seem to even like it. You're talking about it like just another fad that needs to be taken advantage of before it dies. Your ignorance about the whole thing isn't helping either.

I'm sorry if I came off that way. When I make it sound like I don't like "Dubstep" that's just symantecs. I don't like 90% of "Dubstep", but I LOVE skrillex, and the way he does his music. Whatever you guys want to call that, I guess it's "Brostep". So sorry guys, if I could change the title of the thread to "Mixing Brostep with pop" I would, but you guys just can't get over it. If you don't like the thread, then get out, I don't want your opinion if all you're doing is shitting on the idea. Nobody needs that.

im very interested in this kind of combination. check out the track in the sig and let me know your advice. i think dubstep will eventually return to a more chill vibe than brostep. as much as i love crazy modulated midrange, i would love to hear more tracks like rusko's hold on and magnetic man's i need air. any recommendations?

To answer your question though - its just a matter of using the right sounds for the track (just like anything).
Dubstep is a very dark and broody style of music, I honestly can't see how it'll relate to mainstream radio though, unless we gave everyone a free sub?
