Not to blanket everyone - but just saying...don't be a fool.
there's nothing stopping you being selfishly aggressive and unscrupulous

maybe I just had too much of my female self invested at the time...

maybe she told me from the start that it was going to be more of the same...

I can only deduce that BM is genuinely mad. This will be the end of my interaction on this topic.

You have a problem with androgynous imagery being used decoratively now too?

we should use a non ethnicised, non gendered, partially disabled kidult to celebrate the virgin birth of God's Jewish child thousands of years ago.

jesus christ yall are dense. for once, i completely understand Bright Maroon .

maybe it's because i have seen empress spin live dozens of times, and i know what she looks like in real life, but i see exactly what she's getting at. Empress is a real chick, and the picture of her inside that cd cover looks like a hyper glamorized, hella makeup'ed, uber-afro'ed version of her. it looks like they deliberately exagerated her in order to sell the cd . pretty simple concept. people dont walk down the street looking the way she did in that cd insert.

maybe it's not the smoking gun of some inherent male dominated conspiracy, but if you can't understand what she's talking a bout, then i feel bad for you son

I've been thinking about this and decided to go looking on the internet
for pics of female djs and producers to see if I can reproduce the reaction...

I found this racy pic of Cooly G and the voice I hear in my head says...
"Look at how sexy this dress is" - no ego involved...
I think she's TRYING to give ego...
but really it just says "I want to make something nice and appealing."

This picture of MAH maybe my favorite...

It qualifies as highly orchestrated but tells me so much...
It shows two futures - 1 of monumental decay, the other of machine perfection
and there is so much tension in the photo from the contrast of light and dark...and textures
disjunction
vibrates as high art - reminds me of the movie Gattaca
Alice in Dystopia

SO maybe it was just a strange virginal thing that happened to me...
and once the thought - more of the same - had pierced my mind
I could go back to being desensitized...

Empress just had the bad luck of being the one to remind me.

I just think about her interviews posted on youtube...

Where she is talking about dramatics and other random craziness...

So - I just think of her as being funny and not really stuck up or anything like that.

It's amazing how exposure and media affects your perceptions.
