From January to March we'll have the following names passing here all within 1,5 hours of travel (public transport or car): the benefits of living in small countries! And Paris, London, Amsterdam and Rotterdam are really around the corner as well...so not even talking about that.
January :
>Hatcha, Coki (didn't show though), The Aliens, Cotti, F-One,
>Benjamin Damage
>Clubroot, Seams (live)
February :
>Deep Medi Night with Mala, Silkie, VIVEK, Commodo & Bunzer0
>Distance
>Numbers Night with Jackmaster, Redinho, Spencer and Goldffinch,
>Ital Tek
March
>Cyrus, TMSV
>Mosca, Ben UFO and Sleeper b2b District.
And that's just the shit I'm attending on FaceBook, I'm sure there's tons more that I haven't received an invite for. And in April, we're going to London for a bender.

live show is sick, albeit incredibly samey.the_disconekt wrote:The Glitch Mob are one of the tightest live acts I've ever seen. And they actually have groove. The Tornado wrote:Glitch Mob above Loefah says it all in regards to the state of dubstep in America.
same groove on every track. different chord progressions. no complaints.

LA LA LA LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA LA
Re: Loving Dubstep in America
Well, uh, this might be a bit off-topic here but I actually liked one of the shows here in California...
lemme explain myself
i went to a rave they threw here called escape from wonderland, and i mainly went to go see the big name trance dj's, like ATB and Dash Berlin, and they had a really good techno room too! i vowed to stay away from the drum n' bass / dubstep room because of what would be expected to play there (although I did want to see wilkinson)
, but i mainly stayed in the techno room the whole night...until one of my friends who decided to join me for a bit (they all went off did their own thing earlier) persuaded me to go see Funtcase. i was fairly fucked at the time, happily agreed...expecting to get a headache after a few minutes.
but jesus christ, idk why (musta been the various drugs/alcohol) but i thoroughly enjoyed this guy's set...his stage presence and everything was really really good! just seeing him up there loving what he's doing, just headbangin and feeling his own music more than half the crowd got me into it, and he was actually a really good dj! yes, the crowd got fucking annoying at times, lots of them got on my nerves, but it definitely opened my mind to that brostep sound...although i probably wouldn't be able to tolerate another hour of it. anyways big ups to funtcase he truly likes what he's doin, and in my opinion is a really good dj/producer

Re: Loving Dubstep in America
Around here everyone thinks Glitch Mob is dubstep. I would think a visiting act from the UK would get top billing, but I'm not really bothered. I don't really care about Glitch Mob one way or the other tbh.

Glitch Mob is Glitch music. it's in their fucking name for christ's sake!
they got some ok tunes, but i would not have even considered them dubstep.

Re: Loving Dubstep in America
Well I suppose it's even harder for 18 year old Americans who live in rural towns who like the deep sound.
I throw garage parties and try to play some early Skream or Phaelah or Distinction or Sleeper inbetween the "brostep" (which I enjoy as well), but whenever I put the deep stuff on everyone thinks it's time to sit down and take a break. Kinda discouraging, but I still try and sneak it in.
Definitely looking more into the Chicago scene because of this thread now, since I'm planning on attending Columbia.

The real question about that flyer is why mochipet isn't in huge letters above all of them given he is bigger and badder than anyone else at that show
