Don't you have to be supervised though? Regardless arresting someone for it is a bit harsh.

but the cops cant arrest you unless your absolutely written, and even then they just let you sober up in the cells & ring you mummy n daddy

got nicked for sparking a spliff in the park opposite london victoria, it was kind of dumb really, considering how heavily policed the area is but these two plain clothes guys swooped on us, fucking locked us up for 5 hrs, all over one joint even gave me a taped interview (must've been a slow day). the funniest thing was the sergeant gave us a talking to when we got released and his words were something like "look lads if ur gonna do anything have a few beers, get tanked up, don't smoke that shit it's bad for you" i was speechless.

In the UK as long as you have permission from the owners of a private property like your house you can drink unsupervised.

Got a scratch once or twice, never been nicked.
