For your filthy drop you will need:
kick x 1
snare x 1
wergh x 3
yoi x 2
distorted screaming sound x 4
cheesy movie sample x 1
wub x 4

Begin by placing your cheesy movie sample on top of your kick which repeats like so : bam bam-bam bam-bam-bam-bam bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bbbbbbbbbbb

Next, mix together one wergh and both your yois, stirring gently on a low heat

At the same time whisk your wubs and cream together with all four distorted creaming sounds.

Finally layer the parts together and begin compressing the mixture heavily (preferably with a brick though a rolling pin will do)

Cook in the oven at Gas Mark 4

I still don't understand why people don't just record themselves screaming and banging pots and pans together and then put a sub under it.

Do it random and correct it to make sense. Sounds like shit? Erase, try again.

That's how I do it.

hahahah

+1 internet for you.

but @op, crescendo until 1/4-1 whole bar before your 'drop' section. Basically just build up, wait a tick, then go into your 'drop'. Back in my day I believe we called it a 'breakdown' :cornlol:

you think theres a magic formula for all the filthy goodness helicopter brodown and bassex (lol) make? Try experimenting with your structure perhaps- you might not make a song exactly like your heroes but you might make something even better!

If your synthesis is anything like the songs in your sig then i'll modulate my wave table position on modern talking and take a snap shot so you could submit something half way decent. Good luck getting that constapated elephant on your signature played at a club. and Huty: I signed my plea 2 weeks ago so i get sentenced in 90 days, takes a little longer for federal sentencing since they base my guidelines on my PSI (pre sentencing investigation). Thanks for asking though

1) which elephant in my sig are you referring too
2) i use reason so massive has no use to me
3) my goal is not to be playing in clubs it is to have a small dedicated fan base who enjoys my music for what it is and appreciates the effort
4) at least i am putting my tracks out there for other people to judge
5) if i want right now i can design i baseline with all the filth you want
and finally
6) why were you so much nicer to Huty :corncry:

I was referring to both elephants in the sig lol. I was nicer to huty cause his post was actually pretty funny and ended up giving me some sort of useful advice. I don't see the point in being a shit head to somebody who's asking a legitimate question, who the fuck cares if i want formant basses and disgusting wobbles just give me the advice and that's it or stfu

Sounded like you were trying to be a prick i guess but if you were trying to help thanks. I've been stuck as far as making music, the more that i learn the more intimidated i am to start a new project but i do have a passion for dubstep or brostep whatever the fuck you wanna call it. I was trying to look for some tutorials on how a dubstep song would be make completely from scratch but none that are worth looking for. And yeah i thought it'd be a creative production name but thinking of changing it cause people wont take it seriously lol

Regardless of what daw your using I suggest watching the boyinaband 7 day songs.... Can't stand his satire but it helps to see the progression from day 1 to 7 I think he has a dirty dubstep one if I remember
