I don't even know who YMCMB are, but ya boy Thor Molecules says they are "A whole crew of backseat muthafuckin ******."

I've never even heard Drake but all of his aliases make me not want to listen -

the Artist Formerly Known as Wheelchair Jimmy.
The Kitten Whisperer
The Harvester of Pauses
The Taio Cruz of Hip Hop
Young Garnier Fructis the pre-cum baby
Jennifer Aniston's favorite emcee....n the muthafucka most likely to have a gateway to Narnia in his closet
The Michael Buble of Rap or that ****** witta beatin vagina for a heart that you be hearin on the radio sandwiched between Katy Perry n Lady Gaga joints all day
Justin Biebers beard n the only ****** on earth capable of turnin sandpaper into moist towelettes wit the touch of his hands...the vagina nectar-garglin ****** who makes lambs look dangerous

LOL. Did ket say that RZA was a bad producer? Then talk about how revolutionary lowpassing and reversing painos are in the rap game? I don't even... Haha.

This thread is crazy man.

Affiliated w/
Bow Wow, Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes now.

Personally, a HUGE step down for Busta, but he was surprisingly misrepresented
with Dr. Dre & Interscope.
If you think this new stuff even compares to older stuff, you need your head
examined.
However, people say that from every generation of rap/hip hop, so take it all with a
pinch of salt "This shit is worse than 10 years ago," is a staple comment amongst the
hip hop community.

People dissing RZA... for REAL?! REEEAAALLLY?! Tell you what - you go and download
some RZA and Bobby Digital instrumentals, and learn where some producers got
their whole style from. The guy was a revolution. If you're complaining about shit
being out of sync or out of key or whatever - DUH! HE ENGINEERED IT THAT WAY.
Some of his beats sound RAW AS FUCK because they're supposed to be.

If you really think he has no skills - listen to his motion picture pieces for Kill Bill
and tell me he's shit.

BTnH - Meh, the only thing they did worthwhile was the track with Biggie.

Image

Twista bit their whole style and made it better than them, and if you REALLY
want to see how shit they are, the sold their rights for Crossroads to that
pug-uglyfuckboybandwankstain youth centre project from the UK... (Blazin squad
was it?)
They lost 10 cool points just for that shit, and they were only on 3 in the
first place.

Btw, G.O.O.D Music have just announced they've signed
Q-Tip.

CuDi, Pusha T, Kanye West, Mos Def, John Legend and Q-Tip.

THAT is a stable.

Nothing.
Drake did not "jump" on a pre-existing hot sound, his own personal sound blew up and BECAME the hot sound.
40 changed hiphop production. Now everybody's low passing and reversing piano chords...

And don't you EVER compare the high-end production & engineering standards of Noah Shebib to Mike Jones. Do you even hear yourself?
hey look, its marvins room 2001...but with someone who can sing

I have heard of three of them but only ever actually heard Lil Wayne. tbh, i'm not going to go out of my way to rectify that.

I have to hold my hands up and say i'm guilty of this too. Then again, I kinda gave up on hip hop shortly after 'Get Rich..' so I can't really comment.

i don't even hate Get Rich, but i thought Massacre was shite besides that Baltimore Love Thing track, i liked that

Yeah, I liked Get Rich too, it just seems that the stuff that was presented to me after that was a lot more ho's and money than it had previously been... in the 90's... when music in general was better ;)
I'm not even sure that's the way things were, it's just the way I perceived it.

I always hated 50 cent honestly. But at least at one point or another he lived the life he rapped about, unlike so many others today. For me it started going downhill after "the hard knocks vol 1" There was still plenty of good hip hop on the radio after that (including that album), but I think it was the beginning of the end. And the rise of the hot boyz (whom I loved in middle school) helped pave the way for the shite that passes for rap nowadays. Granted there's always exceptions where talented artists keep getting played to this day, like outkast, common, etc. but the crap you have to listen to just to hear a good song is immense.
