Verses need more weight.

Build from 1:45-2:00 needs work...needs more character. Feels flat.

2:00-2:30 sounds cheesy

This song is being a huge pain in the ass to remix...ridding it of any reggae influence has been a serious challenge.

I feel you. He probably shouldn't have just placed it in with no manipulation. I just liked how he managed to incorporatee that screechy shit in such an atmospheric track. Sure he didn't give too many fucks when making this tho

If you guys like drumstep and have some time you should check out our remix

We personally thought, in terms of production value and originality, ours was pretty decent, compared to most other "remixes" that were basically the original sped up or just layered a cheap bassline made in a pirated NI massive on top of it *laughs*

Anyway, we, from Hyde5, would like some feedback on the track as were trying to improve everyday

Btw, I know a lot of the vets have been saying this since day 1, but anyone who is passionate about improving their skills, NEEDS to enter EVERY remix opportunity possible. Narrowing the scope of what you have to work with really enhances the creative process and I now look at production through a different set of "eyes" so to speak. I feel like I could talk for hours about this, but suffice it to say, if I didn't spend the time to get the technical foundation/comfort level that I currently have, I wouldn't have learned what I did from this project.
